Our story begins, improbably, with grapes and clay. That sounds terribly Greek, doesn’t it? And there’s a bit of misdirection happening here as well, as these grapes had been stomped on, shoved in vats, poured into bottles, and flung thousands of miles only to end up in our glasses. And then gladly drunk.
Our friends and we had signed up for a pottery making and wine tasting at Kendall Davis Clay—the pottery studio and store run by the brilliant Kendall Davis, with organic wines provided by her neighbors at The Holly. Fun and delicious.
Throughout our pottery class, the lovely people from The Holly would bring a wine in, talk about the wine, the grapes, the vineyard and the vintners.
Later that evening, over baklava and more wine, the idea for Sound Bites Social was born. Food. Information. Music. Sometimes two, sometimes all three.
Always fun. Always Social.
We’re still inventing what this really is, and what it will really be. But we’re aiming for a July or August 2023 launch with our friends at 3rd Street Market.
